Tony Fisher has joined Magnitude Software Inc. as general manager of connectivity. Magnitude has its U.S. headquarters in Austin, but Fisher will continue to be based in Raleigh where he has worked for data management providers such as Dataflux Corp., Progress Software and Zaloni. Fisher was CEO of Cary-based DataFlux.
In his new role, Fisher will spend much of his time traveling between Raleigh and Magnitude’s offices in Austin and Vancouver, British Columbia. “Technology advances have yielded a flood of data — social, location, behavioral, Internet of Things-driven,” he said in a release. “Answering the important business questions requires knowing what data you have, where and how it relates to the problem you’re trying to solve. Connectivity is a foundational technology, essential to making sense of all this information. By tightly integrating this capability with the rest of the Magnitude portfolio, customers will have the means to derive meaningful insights from their data, wherever it resides. I’m excited to accelerate the pace of innovation at Magnitude to help enterprises make sense of all their data.”
