Yordanys “Jay” Bastardo is just one successful restaurateur that calls Greenville home. Growing up in his father’s restaurant, he was inspired to open his own Dominican-themed Villa Verde food truck in Greenville in 2014. The truck became an overnight sensation, attracting long lines and selling out of its delicious offerings on a daily basis. Since then, Bastardo has opened an award-winning brick-and-mortar Villa Verde restaurant, offering a mix of Latin American-flavored fare.
