Dr. Bruce Cohen will replace Dr. Dan Murrey as CEO of OrthoCarolina on July 1. Cohen, a foot and ankle surgeon at the practice, assumes the post as Murrey focuses on the new management company he launched last year.
“I have great respect and appreciation for the work our staff and management do to serve our patients and our physicians every single day and I am looking forward to carrying on that dedication to excellence,” Cohen said in a press release.
Cohen has worked as a physician at OrthoCarolina since 2005. The Charlotte-based practice, with offices across western North Carolina, has about 1 million patient visits every year.
“Dr. Cohen brings a balance of experience as practicing physician and organizational leadership that positions him well to guide OrthoCarolina and its practices on its continued path of exceptional patient care and practice management,” Murrey said in a press release. “He is known nationally as an innovator, educator and leader, and his commitment to bettering the Charlotte community and its orthopedic services will continue through his leadership of OrthoCarolina.”
