In our annual focus on higher education, Business North Carolina has compiled a comprehensive list of colleges and universities in the state. Also this year, we take a look at NC Promise,  a new program that offers discounted tuition at three state universities; the UNC System’s latest plan to increase enrollment of rural and low-income students; Western Governors University’s entry into the state; and Warren Wilson College’s effort to diversify its student body.
