Merriweather named director of strategy at Raleigh’s Walk West

Raleigh digital-marketing agency Walk West has tapped Kurt Merriweather as its new director of strategy, effective Nov. 2. Merriweather is founder and principal of Cedar Fork Partners, a Chapel Hill-based marketing and business-development consultancy. He previously worked for Discovery Online, AOL Music Now and Procter & Gamble. Merriweather has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Previously O3, the nine-year-old agency led by N.C. State University graduate Brian Onorio rebranded last month as Walk West. Clients have included Stop Hunger Now, Brooks Bell, Eschelon Experiences and N.C. State University.
