Jocelyn Wong has been named chief marketing officer of Mooresville-based Lowe’s Companies. Wong previously was senior vice president and general merchandising manager for the company’s seasonal business. She succeeds Marci Grebstein, who resigned.
Wong has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, merchandising and brand management. Prior to joining Lowe’s in 2015, she was senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Matthews-based Family Dollar Stores, which was acquired by Chesapeake, Va.-based Dollar Tree in a $9.1 billion deal that same year. Previous employers include Safeway and Procter & Gamble. Wong has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University.
Lowe’s operates more than 2,300 home-improvement and hardware stores and employs more than 285,000 people. The retailer also announced last week it was promoting Marshall Croom to chief financial officer, succeeding Robert Hull, who plans to retire after 17 years with the company.
