Kinston-based flyExclusive leased space in Raleigh’s One North Hills building as the private jet company seeks a deeper talent pool.
Nearly 30 people work for flyExclusive in Raleigh. Next month, the company plans to take additional temporary space for approximately 50 employees, according to a statement today. Slated to open by June, the permanent office will accommodate about 125 people.
CEO Jim Segrave is whittling away at millions of dollars in losses as the company increases revenue from private flights and its maintenance, repair and overhaul operation based in Kinston. Adding staff in Raleigh will “enhance cross-functional collaboration’’ while Kinston will remain home to the company’s maintenance leadership, the company said.
The company said its headquarters will remain in Kinston and the North Carolina Global Transpark. Its operations include a new simulator training center and a 121,000-square-foot hangar project to support the company’s maintenance business. The company is evaluating the addition of a second paint booth to handle demand.
FlyExclusive posted a net loss of $60.2 million through the first nine months of 2025, and has now reported cumulative losses of more than $125 million over the past three years. The company went public for $10 in 2024; its stock has mostly traded in the $3.50 range in recent months.
Segrave says the company is eliminating non-performing aircraft, helping improve aircraft utilization. Revenue climbed 15% to $271.6 million in the nine months through Sept. 30, compared with the same period a year earlier.
Segrave is now based in Raleigh, having bought a $5 million home there last year.
