Jeff Ellison was named president of Sheffield Financial, a Clemmons, N.C.-based division of BB&T Corp. that provides finacing for more than 30,000 sellers of outdoor power equipment, power sports and trailers. Ellison, 54, joined BB&T in 1984 and has been president of the bank’s mortgage warehouse lending unit based in Orlando, Fla. He will report to Sheffield CEO Jack Snow.
Ellison is a UNC Chapel Hill graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance.
Sheffield has made more than $16 billion in loans since it was started in 1992.
