After more than 25 years, Bankers Insurance has rebranded to Bearing Insurance. The company says the new name represents its evolution and addresses marketplace confusion about its name and offerings.

“This is an exciting time in our company’s history,” says CEO David Erwin (right) in a release. “Our new brand celebrates our legacy and highlights our mission to put our clients at the center of everything we do.”

The rebrand brings a modern logo, updated branding elements, and a redesigned website at bearinginsurance.com. The Glen Allen, Virginia-based company provides personal insurance, commercial insurance and employee benefits services. It has offices in Albermarle, Asheville, Outer Banks, Raleigh, Reidsville, Sanford and Southern Pines, according to its website.

Bearing Insurance has around 300 employees total, including about 100 in North Carolina. It also has about 20,000 North Carolina customers.

Existing clients should experience no disruption, as policies, account managers, and login credentials remain unchanged, according to a release. Bearing also has locations in 14 Virginia cities and one in West Virginia.
