21CS moving headquarters from Boston to Morehead City

A software development company will relocate its headquarters from Boston to Morehead City, creating 25 jobs that pay an average wage more than double the current average wage in Carteret County.

The company, 21st Century Software Technologies (21CS), will invest $455,000 in the relocation. The 25 jobs, which will include software engineering and software support roles, will pay an average wage of $87,920, exceeding the Carteret County average wage of $41,149. The new jobs could potentially create an annual payroll impact of $2.2 million for the region, according to a release from the N.C. Commerce Department.

Founded in 1992, 21CS has locations across the United States, Australia and Germany. It has about 200 employees, with 60 in the U.S. The company specializes in developing mainframe products that ensure data protection and custom software solutions throughout business and IT sectors.
