Why he chose to specialize in this field
My practice is somewhat unique for a North Carolina lawyer in that it focuses exclusively on antitrust. I was attracted to antitrust because of the diversity of the work — a good mix of litigation, transactions and agency practice — so it is rare that any two workdays look exactly the same. I enjoy that variety.
What he’d be if not a lawyer
As a Dallas native, my dream job would be as a beat writer for the Dallas Cowboys.

Favorite place
We’ve had small children for more than a decade now, so vacations are a lot of work. We enjoy simple getaways to Isle of Palms or Hilton Head.

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Louis Zamperini’s ability to overcome one seemingly insurmountable obstacle after another is astonishing.
Favorite TV show
I’m currently on my second or third viewing of the Breaking Bad series. What’s not to love about Breaking Bad?
Passions
When the weather is nice on the weekend, there’s a good chance you’ll find me on my back porch, tending to some sort of pork or poultry product on my smoker.
