Why she chose to specialize in this field
I liked the smaller, patent-boutique firm feel over larger general practice firms and practice areas.
What she’d be if not a lawyer.
Engineer, likely in manufacturing. I worked for General Electric [in the aircraft engine and medical system sectors] before law school.
Best advice received
Work hard, set goals and never wish away the day.
Favorite place
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (and the British Virgin Islands) — always warm and beautiful; Lake Tahoe in the summer.
Passions
Playing board games with family and friends, walking dogs (and cats), and boating on Lake Gaston.

Hard to recall, but my favorite authors were Stephen King or Agatha Christie.

Reading and working for parks and recreation.
